MMC announces promotion
NEILLSVILLE - Memorial Medical Center has announced the promotion of Ryan T. Neville from his most recent position with MMC as executive vice president and chief operating officer to president and chief executive officer.
Neville has been participating in a very interactive and intensive six-month orientation with David J. Baltzer, interim CEO, with more than 35 years of experience.
Neville received his bachelor of science in occupational therapy from Shawnee State University in Ohio. He also has his master's degree in business administration from Ohio University. He is board-certified in health care management and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Ryan is a graduate of the American College of Healthcare Executives Leadership Development Program, and he was awarded the 2007 Ohio Hospital Association Health Care Worker of the Year.
In his years professionally, he served as the director of patient care for rehabilitation services at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital for six years. Neville also is trained in Lean Six Sigma and has utilized his Green Belt Certification to improve operational capacities on dozens of strategic health care initiatives. He also worked at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Ohio for a decade and served as the director of rehabilitation services for the majority of his tenure there.
CAP Services leader completes training
STEVENS POINT - Laura West, CAP Services' director of jobs and business development, successfully completed the Commercial Lending School held Feb. 16 to 21 in Wisconsin Dells.
West oversees CAP's business development services in Marquette, Outagamie, Portage, Waupaca, Waushara and Wood counties. Services include a mix of one-on-one technical assistance, business loans and other services to help startup and expanding businesses succeed.

Small-business counseling offered
LOYAL - The Small Business Development Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is offering counseling to small-business owners and managers March 13 at the Clark County Economic Development Corp.'s office in Loyal.
Through confidential no-cost consulting and strategic facilitation, SBDC experts serve as resources for startup, small and emerging mid-size companies. If you currently own or manage a small business and are looking for ways to improve and grow your business or have an idea for a business venture and want to know how to get started, you might want to take advantage of this service.
Individual appointments of up to an hour and will be scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m, the second Thursday of each month. The counselor will be available March 13, April 10 and May 8 for appointments.
