Community-supported agriculture is a term that had not been heavily circulated in Kewaunee County until a recent gathering of farmers at Caffé Tlazo in Algoma to promote the farming culture. CSA means supporting local farmers by buying shares of their produce. CSA is widely popular in the Madison area, and is now moving its way to Northeastern Wisconsin.

After purchasing a season's worth, about 16 weeks, of fresh, home-grown goodness, shareholders receive a supply of fruits, vegetables, eggs, chicken and a variety of other products, based upon the farm. A full share would feed a family of ...
