The new owner of the former Equitable Reserve Association building in downtown Neenah has comforting news for lovers of history and neoclassical architecture.

The century-old landmark at 116 S. Commercial St. won't be torn down.

"That's not going to happen on my watch," said Umer Sheikh of Investment Creations, which bought the property for $250,000 in November. "There's not even a 0.01 percent chance. That's blasphemy. It's a beautiful, beautiful building." ...
