Letters to the editor: We need strong schools for kids to succeed

11:01 AM, Mar. 7, 2014  |  Comments

I am in full support of the Oshkosh Area School District and will voting yes for the referendum on April 1st. Education is vital to succeed in society and I believe there is no greater issue.

If education programs such as music and art are cut, our children will be affected. The amount of opportunities open to them will be decreased significantly. Physical education, music and art are all programs that encourage our children to express themselves and develop creativity. Without these programs, the children and their futures will suffer.

Every child deserves a fair chance to succeed; this is why my vote will be a yes. Please consider doing the same.
