WAUSAU When Matt Powers sits down for breakfast at The Mint Cafe in downtown Wausau, he's served a feeling of nostalgia mixed with a sense of community alongside his Greek scramble and hashbrowns.

"The thing I like about The Mint is the history of it. It's on the walls," Powers, 47, of Weston said, referring to the old menus, historical photos and newspaper stories about the restaurant from days gone by that are displayed throughout restaurant.
