Prep girls basketball: D.C. Everest girls set for rematch with Superior

Taylor Hodell stood at the far end of the D.C. Everest Fieldhouse on Wednesday trying to explain what exactly went wrong for the Evergreens girls basketball team against Superior earlier this year.

"We had a four-hour car ride (to Superior) and it was only a month into our season. But we've come a long way since then," the 6-foot-3 junior forward said of the 69-46 loss on Dec. 27. "We were a little slow on defense coming off the long car ride and weren't playing at our full potential. They were taking advantage of that and shooting lights-out."
