Dinner, drinks and a secret sparkle raffle will headline the Celebrate Girl Scouting Banquet, a fundraising event to help support local Girl Scouts programs.

Patrick Puyleart, who is organizing the event, said he expects the event to draw community members united in their support for Girl Scout programs.

"They know if we can continue to provide a meaningful, engaging experience for girls, our community is in a better place," Puyleart said.

The banquet kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Wausau Country Club, 208 Country Club Road, Schofield. Dinner will be at 7 p.m. By purchasing a bottle of wine, attendees are entered into a drawing for a piece of fine jewelry.

Tickets are $60 per person or $400 for a table of eight. For more information, visit www.gsnw.gl/cgs or call 888-747-6945. The event is sponsored by Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes.
