Kewaunee end season with close game

The Algoma girls basketball team launched their quest for a second straight Division 4 state championship last week, posting convincing victories over Manitowoc Lutheran and Brillion to clinch a regional title and power on to sectionals.

The Wolves (22-2) were scheduled to take on Amherst (20-4) of the Central Wisconsin-Eight Conference in a sectional semifinal at Seymour on March 13.
