College men's hockey: No. 3 pointers return to national stage after 16-year drought

Tyler Krueger and Kyle Heck were in the midst of their youth hockey careers the last time the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point men's hockey team qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Heck used spend many a Friday and Saturday night at K.B. Willett Arena with his father, Dan, watching the Pointers, who were annually one of the top programs in the country.

You could also find Krueger sitting in the stands at Willett during UWSP's glory days in the 1990s and participating in the annual "Skate with the Pointers" as a child. ...
