We got away Saturday evening for a wonderful meal at Glidden Lodge. It was just the ticket for the Winter Blahs. Good friends and an evening of conversation and laughs.

We recently Googled "The Cremation of Sam McGee" by Robert Service. This old poem brought a chuckle at how appropriate it was for our Polar Vortex weather. Another favorite is "The Man from Snowy River" by Banjo Paterson. The movie of the same name was based on the poem.

I couldn't resist throwing some buckets of water at the car just to get the worst of the salt off on one of our warm days. It's going to have to get a lot warmer before it ...
