Ted Thompson hasn't made a move like this in free agency since he signed Charles Woodson in 2006. On Saturday morning, the Green Bay Packers general manager signed former Chicago Bears defensive lineman Julius Peppers, as tweeted by Peppers' agent and confirmed by multiple sources. According to ESPN, Peppers' contract is for three years and worth up to $30 million, though with a player of Peppers' age - he's 34 - it's a year-to-year deal. He'll make $8.5 million in salary and bonuses this year. The signing isn't fully analogous to Woodson, because Peppers at 34 could be in his last season or two, ...
