U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson: Send arms, military mission to Ukraine

Sen. Ron Johnson, fresh from a fact-finding mission to Ukraine, said Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is bent on expansion, determined to restore the Soviet Union, and that the United States must do more than impose economic sanctions to stop him.

"I think we have to show much more resolve," Johnson said, adding that he wants to send military aid to Ukraine - not American troops -but small arms and possibly other assistance.

"If Ukraine is going to be able to maintain its border integrity, it's going to have to be able to defend itself, it's going to have to build its military back up. ...
