Oral cancer on the rise, screenings offered

Every day, about 115 people will be diagnosed with oral cancer, according to the Oral Cancer Foundation.

In an effort to reduce the number, Legacy Dental, 1415 N. Eighth St., will be offering free oral cancer screenings from 8 a.m. to noon April 9. The screenings honor oral cancer awareness month in April.
