The nose on my Knight-in-faded-jeans twitched as he entered the kitchen, "What is that smell?"

Usually this question was voiced with a negative tone because I'd be burning something, but today it was accompanied by a smile. The hairy four-legged clean-up crew gave him the evil-eye. Misty Rose takes the job of scrap clean-up seriously.

I raised the lid to release a cloud of aroma, "We'll be having Scrap Soup this evening." Misty Rose continued to drool, but my Knight's right eyebrow lifted with what looked like concern. ...
