NewPage visit includes tour and hands-on papermaking lab

On March 6, a group of more than 20 potential future papermakers took the opportunity to learn about our region's leading industry. The students visited NewPage's Stevens Point Specialty Paper Mill. While at the mill, the students watched a video about papermaking, took a tour of the facility and made their own sheets of paper in a "hands-on" papermaking lab.

The group visiting the mill was from the Central Wisconsin Holistic Homeschoolers Co-op. The co-op meets weekly to give the students opportunities to learn and work together through themed projects and field trips.
