City's new homeless shelter opens Monday (with video)

About 150 volunteers, community members and government leaders filled the living room area of the Frederic Ozanam Transitional Shelter to celebrate the official opening of the facility Thursday morning at the corner of North Vine Avenue and East Depot Street.

The shelter will open to serve homeless families Monday, said Brittany Boyer, transitional shelter director.
