Not that the name will ever go out of circulation in the history section of the sport, but the Lombardi name is relevant in football again.

Joe Lombardi is the new offensive coordinator for the NFL's Detroit Lions. Two and a half months after his hire, Lombardi hits the ground running Monday, when the Lions players report for the start of their offseason program under new coach Jim Caldwell.
