Utility's winter cut-off moratorium to end

Wisconsin Public Service customers who have fallen behind in paying their bills could face disconnection of their utility service after April 15 unless they make the payments or other arrangements with WPS.

State law bars utilities from disconnecting residential service from Nov. 1 to April 15 annually.

At the end of February, nearly 26,000 of WPS customers were four months or more behind on their utility bills. ...
