Thank you: Candidate forum went well

As election day draws closer, we, the members of the Policy Council at Pine River School for Young Learners, would like to extend a few thanks.

On March 11, we hosted an open forum for the community and candidates for the four seats open on the MAPS (Merrill Area Public Schools) board. Of the seven candidates, four were able to attend. We would like to thank those candidates. Kevin Blake, Jeff Hetfeld, Eric Geiss and Jeremy Ratcliff were kind enough to share their evening and ideas with us. We would also like to thank the two dozen or so community members who attended, along with the moderators and organizers of our evening.

It is a wonderful thing to gather so many people, with their own opinions and ideas, and have the evening remain entirely positive.

Thank you all who attended.

Jennifer Kautz, secretary

Pine River School for Young Learners Policy Council
