Five incumbent county supervisors defeated

Five longtime incumbents on the Kewaunee County Board lost their bids for re-election on April 1. And some were just a matter of a few votes, according to the county's website Wednesday.

I used to cover the county board and remember the last overhaul around the year 2000, that ousted 14 supervisors in a recall election. Apparently some county residents wanted a change this year, too.

In District 6, incumbent Jan Swoboda lost by 30 votes to Ken Tebon, 67 to 37. In District 9, Dave Mayer lost to Scott Jahnke, 99 to 21. ...
