Gibraltar to try a combined kindergarten-first grade class

Some Gibraltar kindergarten and first-grade students will take part in a new pilot classroom program next school year.

Gibraltar Elementary plans to combine one first-grade class and one kindergarten class into a multi-age classroom at the start of the 2014-15 school year. The pilot program is voluntary, and the school will have additional sections of kindergarten and first grade for students whose parents opt out.
