Get inspired to embrace healthy lifestyle choices at the Health and Wellness Fair from 5 to 8 p.m. on April 29. This free event will be held at Southern Door Schools in the Eagle Gym and Talon Fitness Center.
Activities will include the Relay Recess/Relay for Life cancer survivor walk, the grand opening of the Talon Fitness Center filled with new equipment courtesy of the PEP Grant and equipment demonstrations, Talon Fitness sign-up, home fitness DVD demonstrations and check-out, YMCA sample classes to try such as cycling, spin, core strength and more, quick and easy healthy food recipes from Ministry with healthy food samples, and much, much more.

While you have your pen and calendar out, add the Bread and Booyah Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 27 at the Namur Belgian Heritage Foundation.
Maple sap running
Students of all ages will be heading out to the Southern Door School Forest to visit the Sugar Shack on Monday. They will get to see how maple trees are tapped and the sap is collected. They will also get to see the process of boiling sap into syrup. It is a sure sign that spring is near!
Students entering grades one through six in the fall can enroll in the weeklong Camp Invention to be held at Southern Door Schools June 23-27. Camp Invention inspires confidence in curious children using STEM concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Students will get to take things apart and build new inventions, work in teams, and put their creativity into action. The skills they will use at Camp Invention won't last for just for a day or week, but for a lifetime. The camp is open to students at all area schools.

About 200 students and adult volunteers are getting their walking and running shoes a work out twice a week to prepare for the Bellin Run this summer. As we hope to see more springlike days, take the challenge yourself and sign up to complete the Bellin 10K Run on June 14.

Head over to Southern Door Schools today to listen to hundreds of music students from area schools participating in the Wisconsin School Music Association's Music Festival from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public to attend to see students perform vocal and instrumental solos, duets, trios and small ensembles before a judge.
Lunch and snacks available for purchase in the high school cafeteria, so come and make a daylong affair. See you there!
