Finance director urges less reliance on borrowing

Finance Director Steve Corbeille shared Monday his vision of a municipal financial plan that would continue to cut into the city's long-term debt and increase the percentage of tax levy from property owners available for operations.

Corbeille told the Finance Committee before the regular City Council meeting that they had already done, in recent years, a lot of work "to balance the budget, cutting back on expenses (by) making tough decisions."
