Casey Hayward prides himself on patience, but even this was a lot to ask of a 24-year-old champing at the bit to prove himself as one of the NFL's up-and-coming cornerbacks.

Coming off a inaugural season worthy of an NFL defensive rookie of the year nod, Hayward wanted nothing more than to outshine his six-interception debut with an equally impressive sophomore campaign.
