Jermichael Finley will undergo X-rays on Thursday and an MRI scan in two weeks so interested teams can evaluate the progress of his recovery from neck fusion surgery, according to a report by Josina Anderson of ESPN.com.

The tight end has taken one free-agent visit so far, in early March, but failed the Seattle Seahawks’ physical at that time. He is about a month removed from that visit.

Finley told ESPN.com that he will send the scans to his neurosurgeon, Pittsburgh Steelers doctor Joseph Maroon, and make them available to any teams considering signing him.

Coach Mike McCarthy has said the Packers are interested in re-signing Finley depending on his medical status and are monitoring his recovery from surgery that was performed in mid-November.
