The Green Bay Packers will reportedly hire Steve Marshall as their assistant offensive line coach to replace Joel Hilgenberg, according to ESPN.com.
Marshall, 57, was the offensive line coach for the Cleveland Browns (2007 and 2008) and Houston Texans (2004 and 2005).
More recently, Marshall was an assistant on the University of Colorado staff in 2011 and 2012 and was hired in January to the staff at New Mexico State.
Marshall will fill the job vacated last week by Hilgenberg, who expressed a desire to spend more time with his family.
Marshall worked under Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers in Houston for four years. Capers was the Texans' head coach when Marshall was the assistant offensive line coach (2002-03) and line coach.
Marshall is something of a coaching vagabond. Besides working in the NFL for six years, he was an assistant coach for a dozen different colleges.
