CAMILLE SWART

CAMILLE SWART

Parents: Greg and Julie Swart

High School: Auburndale High School

Freshman letters, honors: Volleyball (lettered), softball (lettered)

Sophomore letters, honors: Softball (honorable mention all-conference, lettered)

Junior letters, honors: Volleyball (honorable mention all-conference, lettered), softball (honorable mention all-conference, lettered)

Senior letters, honors: Volleyball (second-team all-conference, lettered, captain)

Other Sports/Accolades: Volleyball season 2013-All-State Tournament team in Division 3

Academic honors: I have been on the honor roll at my school since a freshman, involved in National Honor Society since I was a sophomore, and I have received the Auburndale Academic Achievement Award all four years of high school.

Volunteer work: JV/Varsity Auburndale volleyball tournaments, Marshfield Rotary Lights, Auburndale Study Club, Zion United Methodist Church classroom work, Auburndale Mentor Program, Meals on Wheels-Marshfield Wisconsin, Auburndale Youth Softball Camp, planting flowers through Town & Country 4-H Club, and FCA-Club Volleyball Tournament.

Favorite sports memory: My favorite high school sports memory comes from this 2013 season of Auburndale volleyball. Helping lead my team not only to the state tournament, but also to the championship state title game was the best feeling in the world and I wouldn’t change any of it regardless of the outcome.

Advice to an athlete: Realize that the journey might be hard at times, but the outcome is definitely worth it. Pushing yourself to the point of almost giving up shows how strong you are as a person, on and off the court.

Inspiration: Even though my brothers are quite a few years older, I’ve always looked up to them for inspiration and most importantly competition. Through them, I found my competitive nature and loved every minute of it. Now, after every achievement, I love seeing how proud they are of me.

College plans: I plan on attending UW-La Crosse next fall with a major in biology to pursue my plan of going to dental school. My overall career goal is to become an orthodontist.
