Eden man hurt as truck hits tree

A 52-year-old Eden man was hospitalized after the vehicle he was driving hit a tree early Sunday morning.

Wade Plautz was traveling west on Highway F near Highway W around 1:12 a.m. May 11 when his pickup truck left the roadway, entered a ditch and struck the tree, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office.

Plautz suffered life-threatening injuries to his chest and was flown by Flight for Life helicopter to Theda Clark ...
