Jeff Uhlir might advise just tossing the brochures from the state Department of Revenue right into the trash basket.

Secretary Rick Chandler passed out fliers Monday at Lakeshore Technical College titled, "Tax Incentive Highlights for Businesses" sharing how Wisconsin has a wide range of credits and exemptions "to encourage business growth and job creation."

"Instead, let's reduce our overall tax burden ... not try to pick winners and losers and let the free market handle it," said Uhlir, a senior tax associate with a Manitowoc CPA firm. ...
