Marshfield woman pleads not guilty to stealing from mother

A 49-year-old Marshfield woman authorities say stole more than $10,000 from her mother pleaded not guilty Monday in Wood County Circuit Court.

Holly B. Sterling is charged with felony theft in a business setting. On Monday, Sterling's attorney, Robert Gardner, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and entered the not guilty plea. Sterling's next appearance is scheduled for July 11. If convicted, she faces a maximum of 10 years in prison.
