Honest employee saves wallet

I purchased some items at Walmart last Wednesday evening and was distracted while I was at the check-out counter. A half hour after arriving at home, I discovered I must have left my wallet at that counter. I called, and the wallet was already found and "locked in the safe." The next day when I went back and wanted to give something to the cashier, I was told that was not allowed, but I could put something in a nearby receptacle for the Children's Miracle Network. What a good idea. And a big thank you to that honest employee and Walmart.

Stratford business donates $600

The Marshfield Area Respite Care Center, or MARCC, a United Way agency, would like to thank Bill's Service Center for its recent generous donation. As a local Polaris dealer in Stratford, Bill's Service Center has been collecting donations for Alzheimer's during the course of two months. This past winter customers made donations in return for special discounts on snowmobiling clothing and accessories.

Owners William and Barbara Dahlke wanted to give back to the community and create awareness for the Alzheimer's disease. William's father suffered from Alzheimer's for almost 12 years. They have donated more than $600 to the Marshfield Area Respite Care Center so that it can continue providing help for families who struggle with the hardships of the disease.

MARCC is a social program that provides adult daycare for participants with Alzheimer's disease and other memory loss. Bill's Service Center enables us to continue our mission of reaching out to those families in financial need. Thank you for lending a helping hand to so many caregivers in our community.
