Speed was never the issue for Jeff Janis. It was the rest of his body that needed to catch up.

Once it did, the 6-foot-3, 219-pound native of Tawas, Mich., developed into the most dominant receiver in Saginaw Valley State history with back-to-back 1,500-yard receiving campaigns during his final two collegiate seasons.

So how does a guy with 4.42-second speed in the 40-yard dash, 246 college receptions, 4,305 receiving yards and 46 touchdowns end up in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference? ...
