The Packers have released linebacker Victor Aiyewa, according to the NFL transaction wire.

Aiyewa, 25, signed to the Packersí practice squad on Oct. 15, 2013, before being promoted to the active roster on Nov. 27. He had four tackles in five regular-season games while playing mostly on special teams.

A 6-foot-1, 237-pound first-year player out of the University of Washington, Aiyewa entered the NFL as a non-drafted free agent with Tampa Bay in July 2011 and spent time with the Buccaneers during training camp that season.

The Packers have one spot open now on their 90-man roster.
