After season on IR, Harris ready to compete for RB spot

Before running back Eddie Lacy became the NFL offensive rookie of the year, he was supposed to be part of a one-two punch with returning starter DuJuan Harris.

However, that plan went out the window when Harris aggravated a patellar tendon injury that had sidelined him for most of the offseason in an August preseason game against Seattle.

Harris landed on injured reserve and Lacy took over, rushing for 1,178 yards and 11 touchdowns while veteran James Starks re-emerged in the complementary role. Starks' career-best 5.3-yards per carry earned him a two-year extension in March. ...
