The goal for every successful NFL team this time of year isn't to weave its draft picks into instant starters, but to make sure those rookies are ready when called upon in the fall.

That's why not one of the Green Bay Packers' seven available draftees took a snap with either the first-team offense or defense during the second day of organized team activities Thursday at Ray Nitschke Field.

That includes first-round pick Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, who signed a four-year rookie contract Friday worth $8.34 million with $7.56 million guaranteed and a $4.38 million signing bonus. ...
