Walk to benefit Humane Society

The Humane Society of Portage County will hold its annual Walk for Wags fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 22 at Pfiffner Pioneer Park. The event is presented by Team Schierl Companies.

Animal lovers, as well as their canine friends, are invited to attend. There will be a 1.5-mile walk, as well as many activities during the day. Attractions include games for kids, pet fashion and costume contest, fly ball demonstrations, basic obedience training tips, search-and-rescue demonstrations, vendors with pet-related items to purchase and a raffle to win baskets and prizes.

Those who participate in the walk will receive a T-shirt and lunch compliments of Subway with a minimum pledge of $30 in advance or $35 the day of the event. Additional prizes are available for walkers collecting more pledges. To download a registration/pledge form, go to www.hspcwi.org.
