Boys can enjoy day of vintage toys

WAUSAU - The Marathon County Historical Society is hosting its inaugural Boys and Their Toys day from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 8. Kids ages 5 through 12 are invited to spend the day in the Yawkey House Museum Gardens with non-electronic games and toys.

Boys are invited to bring along their favorite toy that does not require anything more than a kid to power it. Adults are encouraged to stay and enjoy the event with younger children. In case of inclement weather the party will move indoors.

Reservations are required. Contact 715-842-5750 or info@marathoncountyhistory.org. Cost is $6 per person.

Library celebrates World Oceans Day

WAUSAU - Celebrate World Oceans Day from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at the Marathon County Public Library Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St.

Aquarium expert Darren Lettner will discuss the importance of oceans, conservation and the relationship between the oceans and the creatures in the library's aquarium.
