Anthony Anderson of Sturgeon Bay set a new school record and took third place in the triple jump in the WIAA Division 2 state high school track meet Friday in Madison.
As the first jumper in the final group of the event, Anderson flew 45 feet, 1.75 inches on the first of his six attempts, which eventually put him behind only the 45-10 of Little Chute's Scott Hietpas after the first round. The mark broke the Sturgeon Bay record Anderson set at the sectional meet last week of 44-4.
