A grand lady and good friend would always tell me at the end of our conversation to "Keep Smiling." How true that can be for a person.
A smile can show pleasure, sociability, happiness and amusement. To put a smile on your face can relieve you of unwanted stress. When things are getting you down, take a step back and flex a smile. That stress should start to dissipate. If not, think of something that makes you happy and forces a smile to form on your face.
A smile can be understood by anyone, regardless of culture, race or religion. It is an international symbol known to many. It may say, "I hope you are having a good day," or "Don't worry, things will get better."
What do you think about when you see a person with a grouchy look on his or her face? Do you want to grab it and change its attitude or do you just say, "That person needs some cheering up." Sometime, seeing a smile on someone else's face can give you a boost. A smile can communicate to others that you are a likable person and approachable.
Marilyn Monroe said, "Keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about."
Sit back and let your mind wander. What can you see out there that is worth smiling about? Do you stop and take in the inconspicuous things in nature and realize that what you are looking at puts a smile on your face. Think of the people in your life who make you feel happy.
Have you ever stopped and thought about all the good things that has happened in your life and before you know it, a smile is spreading across you face? Life is beautiful. Take it all in a put on smile. Keep smiling!
