At final weigh-in Saturday afternoon, Ed Goehring of Markesan and Luke Leanna of Fitchburg led the pack of 280 Walleye Weekend anglers in this year's 36th annual cast-off.

Goehring and Leanna landed 25.26 pounds of fish, including the .50 point bonus for weighing all five of their fish alive. Nearly three times as many Walleye Weekend anglers caught their five-fish limit on Saturday compared to last year's day-one ranking.

Contestants reeled in 1146 fish on the first day of the tournament and 175 teams caught the allowed five fish. Last year, anglers caught 753 fish on the first day. ...
