Ashwaubenon adjusts employee residency requirements to fit state provision

New residency requirements for some Ashwaubenon employees are expected to bring the village in line with Wisconsin statutes.

The newly approved measure stipulates sworn public safety officers and employees involved in emergency and time-sensitive positions live within 15 miles of the village borders.

The requirements applies to public safety officers - including fire and police operations, which are combined into one department in the village - and emergency personnel including snow plow operators and employees working in water utility field operations. ...
