Anglers lined the banks of the East and West Twin Rivers Saturday eager to get an early start on the 2014 Wisconsin Carp Championship. They propped their chairs at 8 a.m, threaded bait onto their lines, chummed the area with corn and specially formulated meal, and waited.

And waited.

"Usually there are lots of fish caught at this tournament," Cris Motwicki, who had only caught one fish as of 11:30 a.m., said. "I should have 10 by now, but you never know. This is fishing. One day is good, and another day you get nothing." ...
