A May Art and Design Department graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Allyssa Burch didn't always want to be an artist.

"I always thought that dance was the path I was going to take," she said. "But then an injury made me look at other paths that interested me."

Pursuing those paths has resulted in Burch receiving a $5,000 artistic award. ...
