MOSINEE - A new store specializing in antique home furnishings and high-end consignment items has opened in Mosinee, with hopes of becoming a "weekend destination" for antique aficionados statewide.

Owned by a partnership consisting of David and Helen McGowan, Shawn McGowan, Janet Volpe and Paula Krzanowski, The Sunday Place opened June 1 at 304 Main St., Mosinee.

Primarily a high-end antique and consignment store, The Sunday Place sells everything from exotic animal mounts and antique jewelry to bear traps and French dolls. ...
