Family upset by Slenderman prank

A family was not amused Friday night when they found a message referencing Slenderman, a character at the center of a near-fatal stabbing Tuesday, written on a road.

At 8:45 p.m. Friday, a Richfield man reported he had turned onto Bushlien Lane in Richfield and saw that someone had written "Slenderman" on the road. A trail of breadcrumbs led from the writing into a nearby woods, according to a Wood County Sheriff's Department report.
