McCarthy says Packers won't take Cowboys lightly

Coach Mike McCarthy said the Packers won't take the Dallas Cowboys lightly despite their 1-6 record. McCarthy found it humorous that last week no one was giving the Packers a chance to win against the New York Jets, and now this week the Cowboys' matchup on Sunday is being considered a "trap game."  McCarthy said the Cowboys are a talented football team and the Packers are in no position to take anyone lightly. He called the Cowboys very dangerous. He's looking for a knock down, drag them out game on Sunday night. McCarthy said he plans to play his best 45 players on Sunday and won't save anyone or rest them in advance of the bye. McCarthy also said during his Wednesday afternoon presser: *Receiver Donald Driver definitely won't play due to a quad injury. Driver is currently getting around on crutches. He expects Driver to be ready to play against the Vikings coming out of the bye week. *Jordy Nelson and Tramon Williams are the most likely kickoff return options now that Pat Lee is injured. *Chad Clifton should practice Thursday. Daryn Colledge's back locked up on him today and that's why he didn't go. Tight end Andrew Quarless, who is battling injuries, needs to get back on field and compete for playing time. *Mark Tauscher is improving but for now, Bryan Bulaga is the starting right tackle. Bulaga has improved from his first start until now and it's his job to stay in the starting lineup. *The Packers' character was displayed in the last two victories over the Vikings and Jets. *The Packers need to be a double digit turnover ratio team.  *He has been impressed by safety Charlie Peprah, who is an excellent communicator. It's been great to watch Peprah grow and have success. *A decision on all personnel, including the players on the physically unable to perform list, will be made on Saturday. *He wouldn't single out receiver James Jones as one reason the offense is struggling. He is no different than some of the other players that have had good games and other games where they could have played better fundamentally. *The practice status for the Packers: Pickett is limited; Quarless did not practice; Rodgers limited; Tauscher limited; Clifton limited; Colledge limited; Collins limited; Driver out; Jenkins limited; Pat Lee out; Matthews limited; Nance limited.
