The Press-Gazette prediction panel unanimously says the Packers will defeat the Dallas Cowboys tonight at Lambeau Field, and oddsmakers say the Packers are eight-point favorites. Beware, that same panel unanimously said the Packers would lose to the New York Jets last week and we all know how that turned out. Some pre-game notes: *This marks the fourth straight year the Packers and Cowboys play each other during the regular season, including the last three years at Lambeau. *Walt Colemand is the referee for tonight's game. *This marks the first time the Packers have played conseuctive home night games. *The Packers hold a 6-1 edge over Dallas at Lambeau Field, including their victory in the famed Ice Bowl. *Dallas holds a 12-11 lead in the all-time series with the Packers, although the Cowboys have won 11 of the last 14. *The Packers are 22-8 at Lambeau in the last 30 regular-season games, which ranks first among NFC teams during that span. *The Packers own an 11-5 record in the game heading into their bye week. The Packers will be off next week, the lastest bye they have had. *Packers captains tonight: Donald Lee, Tramon Williams, Anthony Smith.
