On third and 1 from the Vikings' 22 Aaron Rodgers faked a handoff and threw a 22-yard scoring strike to Greg Jennings for a 31-3 lead to seal the victory with 9:42 remaining. The Vikings twice lost the ball on downs with Brett Favre overthrows. Vikings fans exited as the fourth quarter went on. Matt Flynn came on in relief of Aaron Rodgers with 6:37 remaining. Brett Favre stayed in the whole game, even on the Vikings' final drive with 28 seconds left.
