Here's the Packers' practice update based on the portion of the workout open to media, before team drills: Both backup safeties injured last week at Minnesota, Atari Bigby (hamstring) and Anthony Smith (ankle), didn't practice at all. Their availability for Sunday could be in doubt, though coach Mike McCarthy might provide some insight into their condition in his press conference after practice. Outside linebacker Clay Matthews (shin, hamstring) didn't practice, as has been customary the past several weeks, but he attended practice, and there's no reason to think he won't play this week. Center Scott Wells (arch) didn't practice, buthe missed some practice last week also and played in the game. Defensive end Cullen Jenkins didn't practice for an unkown reason. Three players were on their usual schedule of taking part in Wednesday jogthrough but not practicing: cornerback Charles Woodson (toe), left tackle Chad Clifton (knee) and receiver Donald Driver (thigh). Defensive end Ryan Pickett (ankle) practiced on a Wednesday for the first time in several weeks.
