Thursday practice update

Based on the portion of practice open to media: Left tackle Chad Clifton might be closer to playing after sustaining a concussion last week. He was in pads and took part in jog-through, though he didn't do much in the couple of periods open to reporters after that. But he was in pads, which suggests he was going to take part in some team drills. Cornerback Charles Woodson (ankle, toe) did jog-through but left immediately thereafter for rehab work. Same for outside linebacker Clay Matthews (shin), as has been his schedule the last several weeks. The players who weren't in attendance were safety Atari Bigby (hamstring), cornerback Pat Lee (ankle), safety Anthony Smith (ankle), fullback Korey Hall (knee) and defensive end Cullen Jenkins (calf). Hall and Jenkins already have been declared out for this week.
